Home computer work is in a constant flux. What some people consider a fad today could easily be a phenomenon tomorrow. So you need to stay on your toes and adapt.
If you want your online business to thrive you have to learn how to translate internet fads into marketing machines. Doing so will easily put cash in your pockets.
Let’s take Twitter for example. A lot of internet marketing newbies are constantly asking me, “Can you REALLY make money with Twitter?”
The simple answer is yes. But it all depends on how you use Twitter.
Now I’m not going to go into a long article about Twitter. Most of you already know what it is and how it works. And if you don’t, it’s easy enough to find out.
I simply want to cover how you can convert your “tweets” into pounds, euros and dollars. So let’s get started.
First of all, you have to realize that Twitter has rules.
Break them and your account will be closed.
And one of the easiest ways to get shut down is by spamming. So DO NOT spam! To be successful with Twitter you will actually need to participate in and contribute to the community.
Seems simple enough, don’t you think? You’re really just answering the question, “What are you up to right now?”
You can tell everyone what you’re doing, where you’re going, where you’ve been, what you’re working on, who you’re with – whatever!
But if you have an intention for using Twitter to make money you should share about your business and provide information that will be helpful to others.
“I’m already doing that through my blog,” you say. Good! Don’t stop there. Use Twitter to expand your market share. Here’s how; increase your Twitter followers, tweet about new blog articles (including a link, of course) and you have an easy way of letting the world know when you’ve updated your blog.
More click throughs, more readers, more money.
I also suggest you break up the self promotion once in a while by sharing useful info related to your niche.
It can be news articles, other blog posts, video links or really anything that’s helpful and interesting to your followers.
You should go out of your way to contribute to the community. This will help you quickly grow your subscribers via word of mouth.
Another great way to help grow your followers- which is the name of the game – is by posting your Twitter profile or a “follow me” button everywhere you possibly can. For instance, you can post it on your blog, your website, in an email signature and even in your forum profiles.
You can even set up a Twitter profile at article directories, like EzineArticles, so that whenever you publish an article, your account will post a tweet, letting your followers know all about it. Pretty cool, huh?
Think of it as building your reputation and a sense of trust within the Twitter community. Once you’ve accomplished this, you’ll certainly be in position to gain numerous sales with carefully planned promotions.
But remember, you don’t want to promote more than you contribute. It’ll turn your followers off.
That’s it! I make it sound so simple, don’t I? Well it is unless YOU make it hard. And like any home computer work, you have to be willing to put in the time and effort. But when you do, you’ll find Twitter to be very profitable. How tweet it is!
