“Prompt engineering” sounds more technical than it is. For everyday use, writing a better prompt just means giving an AI tool the same information you’d give a capable assistant who’s never worked with you before — because that’s essentially the situation.<\/p>\n

If you have an example of the tone or format you want — a previous email, a competitor’s product description, a writing sample — paste it in and say “match this style.” Examples usually communicate “tone” far better than adjectives like “professional but friendly” on their own.<\/p>\n

If the first response isn’t right, don’t rewrite the whole prompt from scratch. Respond the way you would to a person: “good, but make the second paragraph shorter” or “this is too formal, loosen it up.” The AI keeps the conversation’s context, so small corrections are usually faster than a full restart.<\/p>\n
